Breath monitors for Kyjov hospital

Children´s department of the Kyjov Hospital received today 30 new breath monitors.

In cooperation with the Křižovatka Foundation, today we handed over 10 breath monitors to the children's department of the Kyjov Hospital for the third time, which help prevent the sudden death syndrome in newborn children.

These monitors are very sensitive and can be used in hospitals for a maximum of 2 years, after which their efficiency decreases.

During the first year of a child's life, irregular breathing or even respiratory arrest may occur. Slowing or stopping the breath can cause both SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and colds, high fevers or other conditions.
